Cabbage Soup Diet: Day One

Well this week has gone ok... I went to the gym a few times (not as many as I should have) and didn't eat the best but didn't go over board with eating badly. Jarrett left yesterday morning to go to Joplin, Missouri to help build houses for the tornado victims. I'm so very proud of him because he is giving up his spring break to help others, but I'm also very sad because he will be gone for 9 days! One of my triggers for overeating is being lonely, bored, or sad and I knew that I'll probably be all of these things while he is gone! So I made a plan that will help me during this time. I decided to do the cabbage soup diet while he is gone. I have done it once before and it wasn't so bad. It is only for one week and each day has a plan of what you can eat as long as you eat the soup at least once per day. Today is my first day and it's fruit and soup day. So far so good because I love fruit! I've been wanting to do this diet for a while buts its hard when he's home because then I would be tempted to eat what he's eating and having to cook two different meals is no fun so this is a perfect time! I'll detox and lose the water weight to kick start my motivation again. I also have picked out the project I'm going to work on while he is gone... A quilt for our nephew who is turning one in a few weeks! :) and I have work and a few friends I know I can lean on if I get bored. So there's my plan and I'm hoping I can stick to it! We will see!

Back on Track!

I fell off the wagon for a few weeks! Although I worked out a little and tried to not eat to horrible I know that I was obviously not doing my best. There was a family situation and wedding planning that I let get in the way of my goals and I let them be my excuses for not doing the things I needed to do for my self. Well, I'm back and ready to get back to the gym and eating right! I will be planning out my menu for the week and making a weekly schedule of things that need to be done. I work much better being organizd and I think that's where I lost it the past few weeks! I will now being weighing on Monday's so I have no excuse to eat bad over the weekend and tell myself I have the whole week to work it off. So here's to a new week back on track! :)
